This is organising chaos whilst still playing games, I was losing it with the colour side of things and so took a somewhat long stand back to figure how to stop the run away and decided to snake the black line around to holt / block off in certain areas with a few overlaps.

I totally lost myself for a good few hours whilst doing this painting – enjoying leaving behind this world for a time.

Playing with the paint in a very fluid manner and watching a face come in and out of focus until something told me enough was enough……

I really love the idea of anthropomorphism and within this even though there is clearly a discernible head shape to be seen I was trying to placate an external structure over it as if to perhaps mask or obscure the human obviousness….almost grafting on a circuit board…

Great fun to do and learned a lot from this piece! And even taking into consideration I very rarely have a preconceived idea of where I’m going in a painting this one really took me round the houses and possessed many visages before I was certain of a final look.

I like to have an undercurrent of fluid movement within my paintings and was happy this didn’t disappoint….

A proper exponent of art relieving pain this one. I was lost in a bad place and just letting it all go- I don’t really remember doing these sorts of paintings they just happen, and certainly in this case my subconscious is steering the brush….reactionary instincts over cognitive thinking……
